Value Stores .. Do they really Work ? #1 ~Skincare

Hey Guys ,

Happy New Year ! I hope everyone has a great one .  Also , before I start todays post , I want to let you know that I have launched Bubble Blossom Blogs Official Instagram , @bubbleblossomblog . Please follow for behind the scenes of posts and hints to posts etc .

Okay , so today I will be starting a brand new series ; Value Stores .. Do they really work ?
It's basically going to be a once a monthly thing where I test different types of products from Value stores to review them and tell you my thoughts .

To kick off the series ,  I have tested some value store skincare products to share my thoughts with you .

Let's get started !

The first item I picked up was Creightons Squeeky Clean Pore Pow Wow Face Mask . I bought this in the UK , so the price was £1.00 , and to be honest , the price suited the quality of the product . I don't know if my skin had a reaction to it , but when I applied it to my face I felt a strong burning sensation . I didn't actually get to see the effects of this product on my skin because I had to wipe it off due the adverse reaction .I wouldn't recommend buying this product.

The next product I bought was Pure Exfoliating Wipes and Pure Deep Cleanse Wipes . I found these in a pound shop and there was  a buy one get one free deal on , so I picked up 2 packets  for £1.  I found these worked really well , doing exactly what they said on the packet . I wouldn't say they'd beat any branded  products , but they are certainly good value for the price . A good product to have .

This next product is Skincare Petroleum Jelly . I bought this just to try to see if it is the same as Vaseline or are they different , etc . I was very glad to find out , after trying and testing the two , they are very much the same . The only difference between them is the price ! I bought this for £0.69 in a home Value shop , and I will definitely be buying this instead of Vaseline from now on ! I  would highly recommend this product .

This next item is called Beautifully Scrumptious Body Butter : Cranberry . This , overall is a really good product . It leaves your skin feeling smooth and silky and it smells amazing . I got this for an amazing price of £1.00, and I am certainly going to be buying this again ! I would highly recommend this product .

This last product is by far my favourite . This is called Tea Tree Facial Scrub and I got this for a great bargain at only £0.89 . This product is amazing and leaves a healthy glow on my  face . I have replaced my regular skincare product (Simple) to this , because I feel it is really beneficial to my skin . I would really recommend buying this product .

Okay Guys , that's all for this post .  I hope you enjoyed reading and I'll see you in my next post on Saturday .  Happy New Year !

Bye !

Lush Haul ~ Bubble Blossom Blog

Hi Guys ,

Firstly, I want to say that I hope everyone had a fab Christmas and had loads of fun , and got lots of nice gifts and treats .  Also , I got a new camera for Christmas , so hopefully the picture quality is a bit better .

Today I went shopping in Lush in the post Christmas Sales , and I managed to pick up some real bargains . I really love all of the things I bought , and I hope to go back soon before the sales end !

Let's get started !

The first item I picked up was  a Butter Bear Bath-bomb . I picked this up because all of the Christmas stock was 50% off , and so I got this for an amazing price  at 0.99 . This is super cute , and the original non -sale price was 1.95.

The next item I added to my basket was the Rose Queen Bath Ballistic , because the scent of this product is amazing . It also contains real rose extract . I got this in the sale for 1.37 , and the original price was 2.75.

Next , I picked up this The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar .Unfortunately , it smashed a bit in my bag , but the product is used by crumbling it under the running tap , so I wasn't that bothered. I got this for 1.62 in the sale and the original price was 3.25.

This next one is Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb . I bought this because a lot of Youtubers have recommended it , and when I saw it in Lush today I had to buy it . The sale price was 1.75 , and the original price was 3.50.

This next item is called Christmas HedgeHog Bubble Bar . I thought that this was super cute and I love the colours . The smell is also amazing . I paid 1.62 in the sale , and the original price was 3.25 .

This So White Bath Bomb was pretty much an impulse buy at the end of my Lush spree. I just couldn't leave the shop without it , it smelled too good to miss out . I paid 1.75 in the sale , and the original price was 3.50

This last product is my personal favourite . It's Reindeer Rock Soap . I have never tried this before , and when I smelled the tester in the store ,I knew I had to buy it . I only bought 100g as it was a first time buy, but I will surely be going back to get more before the sales end . I paid 1.70 for 100g in the sale, and the original price was 3.40 for 100g .

Okay , that's the end of my Lush Haul , (sadly) , but before I go , I have news . My new posting schedule is every Saturday and a random weekday .I  Thoroughly enjoyed doing the Week to Xmas , and I have decided that I want to post more often . I will see you during the  week ,

Bye x

Christmas Eve - A message to everyone : Week to Xmas Day 7

Hey Guys ,

As today is CHRISTMAS EVE !! I have decided to just do a  post explaining something that I am passionate about .  This is something related to Christmas , and also I thought it tied in with my experience yesterday (explained below ) .

Let's Get Started !

My story starts yesterday when I was at a fast food restaurant eating dinner with my family. We were all enjoying our food , chatting about what we  want for Christmas etc . , when a young Man (around 18-20 years old ) walked in . He had a black raincoat on and he was soaked through . His hands were filthy and his hood covered his face .

He walked into the bathroom area and headed straight for the wheelchair users bathroom. We didn't take much notice of him , but after a while we realized he wasn't coming out . A member of staff was called and he went to the bathroom area to look for the man .

When the member of staff finally got him out of the toilet , word got around that he had been sleeping in the wheelchair bathroom . He was homeless . He doesn't have family to give to or receive presents from . This really opened up my eyes .

This affected me and it made me look at Christmas from a totally different point of view . It made me realise how materialised Christmas is nowadays , and it made me a whole lot more grateful for the presents I will receive this Christmas.

I hope that I gave made my point clear enough for you to understand . I wish you all a very merry Christmas ! I will be posting on the 28th of December so stay  tuned for that .
Until then ,

Bye x

Favourite Christmas Hair Accessories ! ~ Week to Xmas Day 6

Hi Guys ,

Today I'm going to be showing you my favourite Christmas hair accessories . Yesterday I posted  5 ways to make your home more festive this Christmas , but the publishing delayed for some reason and I only realised when I came on to write this post . Sorry about that , but it is now up .

Let's get started !

Donut Buns are always a staple hairstyle for me anyway , but I think they look extra cute at Christmas time with a nice bow at the front .

This fake plait hairpiece is something I also wear all year , but find myself wearing a lot more at Christmas time . It looks really nice with either up or down styles and is a lifesaver when your hair needs to be washed and you've got no dry shampoo !

This accessory is actually something  I purchased at a value store Dealz , and I don't usually purchase hair accessories at value stores , not for any particular reason , just nothing has ever caught my eye . When I saw this hair flower I had to buy it because I thought the colour was really pretty  and it would go with Christmas colours like wine , dark green etc.

These Santa hat hair clip is amazing if you don't want a santa hat to ruin freshly done hair in Christmas Day . I bought this in Penneys , but I've also seen them in  shops like Euro Giant  and Dealz .

This snowman Beanie is just a fun addition to my wardrobe that I bought in Penneys .This looks really cute with red t -shirts and also would match most Christmas jumpers for some fun during the festive season .

Thank you for reading , I hope you enjoyed , See you tomorrow , ( CHRISTMAS EVE !!  )

Bye !

5 ways to make your home more festive this Christmas ! ~ Week to Xmas Day 5

Hey Everyone ,

As it's two days to Christmas Eve (SO EXCITING ) , today I'm going to show you 5 ways to make your home more festive this Christmas . Also , last night I hit 400 pageviews and I'm so surprised at how fast my number of views is getting higher . Thank you so so much .

Let's Get Started !

This first decoration is actually a homemade decoration , and its super easy to make . I was considering making a tutorial on it , but to be honest , it's so easy it doesn't even need a tutorial.  All you need are a piece of tinsel , a set of LED lights and batteries . First , wrap the tinsel around your banisters , (either the handrail or the wooden pillar pictured above) , and then wrap the LED lights on top of the tinsel . Secure the battery pack from the LED lights onto the top of the banisters, and you're done !

This next decoration is not homemade , but I have seen homemade ones made out of wood and LED powered candles and they look just as good . I love this Sofia Candle-bridge  because it is a really nice Christmassy effect on the windowsill , and since you can buy them or make them yourself , it's a great option to light up your window display for Christmas .

This next decoration is super inexpensive but has a really nice effect on a bedroom door around Christmas time . I bought this snowman in Euro Giant , and I thought it was so adorable I couldn't leave it in the shop. This is just a really fun way to make your bedroom that bit more festive around Christmas time , and since it's only made of wire in the shape of a snowman and some multi coloured tinsel , I'm sure it's not that hard to make at home.

I bought this light up cone from a gift solutions store last Christmas , and I have them either side of my Christmas Tree . They look so nice at night on display in a window , and again , I've seen loads of video tutorials on YouTube on how to make similar things , so if you are a bit of a crafts person , this might be a cool project to try out .

These lanterns are super cute and I bought this cream one from Penneys , or Primark in the UK . Inside I have a battery powered fake candle , which I think are a genius idea for anyone who has small kid in the house , or perfect for crafts like The Sofia Candle Bridge pictured above .

I hope you enjoyed this post , see you tomorrow ,

2014 Christmas tree tour ! ~ Week to Xmas Day 4

Hi Everybody ,

I already posted earlier , and so that makes this post my second post of the day . You can find out the reason for this on my last post , The Merry Christmas 2014 tag !

This post is going to be a 2014 Christmas tree tour ,

So lets get started !

The first decorations I am going to show you are these silver decorations that we've been hanging on our tree for years . My two sisters and I all have our own word to hang on the tree. These decorations are really special in our house and have become a family tradition !

This next decoration is one we have only had since this year , and I have to say that this is now  my favourite decoration on our tree . It is from a brand called Newbridge and a family friend gave it to us as a Christmas present . I thought it was very unusual to have a nativity scene tree decoration , and that's why I love it so much !

This decoration is one I painted myself. I bought a set from Euro Giant  and I painted them . The Christmas Tree shaped one turned out the best , and it's pictured above.

This next 'decoration' isn't really a decoration . Last year we got some gifts with labels on them , and we didn't want to throw these cute snowman tags away , so we kept them and put them on the tree this year .

This decoration is a really pretty dragonfly . I can't actually remember where or when we bought it , because it's been in my house for so long !

This silver sparkly boot decoration is also like the dragonfly decoration shown above . I can't remember when or where we got it , but it's super pretty and adds a really nice bit of sparkle to the tree.

This is the angel we have on  the top of the tree , and I personally think this is super cute . It stands out on the top of the tree and ties in with the black and silver theme of the tree.

And finally , an overview of my Christmas Tree !

I hope you enjoyed this post , and I'll see you tomorrow .

Bye !

Merry Christmas 2014 tag ! ~ Week to Xmas Day 3

Hello Everybody !

Today I'm going to be posting two separate posts , because I didn't  like the way my " Easy photo frame Decoration DIY " turned out . I have been working super hard to make this blog better , and I have 370+ pageviews now , which may not be a lot to some people, but it's super exciting to me . I just want to say a very Big Thank You to everyone .

Today I have decided to make up my own Christmas themed tag , and I would like to tag my new friend BeautyBud3598 (Niamh) to do the tag on her blog , www.beautybud3598.blogspot.ie .

Let's get started !

Question 1 :

Favourite Christmas Tree decoration / Home Decoration and why ?

This is my favourite Christmas tree decoration because a family friend gave it to our family for Christmas . I thought that it was very unusual to have a nativity scene tree decoration and I really love it .

Question 2 :

Has your family got any special Christmas traditions ?

I have two sisters and no brothers , and it's a tradition each year to hang our own special decoration on the tree. Mine is Hope , and Love and Joy belong to my sisters.

Question 3 :

Favourite present from last year ?

My favourite Present from last year would have to be my ipod 5th Generation , which my parents bought for me . I also got One Direction Tickets for their Concert in May 2014 from my Grandparents , and I am extremely grateful . I was very lucky last year and I got really expensive presents , but this year I have only asked for very small presents, as it would be unfair to get more very expensive presents .

Question 4 :

Favourite Christmas Movie and Song ?

My Favourite Christmas Movie is Nativity 2 : Danger in the Manger ! because I think it is hilarious . I haven't seen number 3 yet , but hopefully I will over Christmas. My Favourite Christmas song is Do they know  it's Christmas ? ~ Band Aid 30 Song .

Question 5 :

Favourite Memory of Christmas ?

My favourite memory of Christmas was when I was really young and I was waiting for my little sister to be born . She ended up being born on the 30th of December so Christmas time that year was really special.

I hope you enjoyed this post , I'll see you in my next post ,

Bye !

Cheap and Easy Stocking fillers ! ~ Week to Xmas Day 2

Hey Everyone ,

I can't believe its half way through the week before Xmas already ! Today I've decided to do a "cheap and easy stocking fillers " post . I recently went to Penney's and bought loads of beauty items as a part of my best friends Christmas present . I thought these items would also be perfect as stocking fillers !

Let's get Started !

Bath Fizz

The first thing I picked up was a bath fizz in the shape of a duck , and I thought it was really cute . I bought this for 2.50* .

Strawberry Scented Body Scrub

I bought this  because I smelled the small tester in the shop and I instantly felt like I needed to buy it .This was a bargain at 2.50*

Strawberry Scented Body Spray

I bought this spray right after I bought the body scrub because it was from the same product range (PS Loves ) and it had the same scent . I am now obsessed with this scent . I got this for 2.50* also .

Animal Shaped Soaps

I instantly thought these were adorable when I saw them in the shop. I bought the chicken and pig soaps but there was also the option of a whale shape . These were 1.50 *

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you tomorrow .

Bye !

DIY Raspberry Chocolate Cookies ~ Week to Xmas Day 1

Hey Guys !

So sorry I  haven't been posting as often as I would like to , but I have had exams all of last week and this week and finally I am finished !
To make up for not posting , I have decided to post something Christmas themed every day up until Christmas . Since today is  exactly a week until Christmas , I am starting today !

Raspberry and Chocolate Christmas Cookies !

First you need to Gather your ingredients ! You will need :
5 small Kinder Bars (for a mix of milk and white choc taste)
6 Digestive Biscuits (Or make your own )
Raspberries or Strawberries .

Step One : Break up the Chocolate and put in a microwave safe container .
Melt in the microwave for one minute , remove from microwave and stir . Repeat the Steps until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted .

Step Two : While the Chocolate is in the microwave , place your six biscuits on a tray .

Step 3 : When the Chocolate is fully melted , drizzle it with a spoon over the biscuits . I tried to be creative with how I drizzled the chocolate onto my biscuits, but of course you can do it however you want .

Step 4 : Place the berries you chose onto the biscuits (as many as you want ) , and then put in the freezer for 15 mins . If you decide to put them in the fridge , 30 mins would probably be best .

Then , Voila ! Your Chocolate Raspberry Christmas Cookies are done ! They are great for Christmas parties or for eating at a sleepover . I hope you enjoyed this simple DIY and I'll see you tomorrow !

Bye !
